Everything you need to know about Claudemon — from your first egg to the leaderboard.

GETTING STARTED

Claudemon turns every Claude Code session into a creature-catching game. Here's how to get going:

Install the CLI wrapper. Clone the repo and run ./install/setup.sh — it aliases cc to the Claudemon wrapper around Claude Code. Nothing else changes.
Create your account. Register on the platform, then generate an API key from the dashboard. Export it as CLAUDEMON_API_KEY.
Start coding. Run cc "your prompt" — every word Claude uses in its spinner becomes an egg in your collection. No extra effort required.

CREATURES & EGGS

Every unique word captured from Claude's spinner is a creature. Your first catch of a word creates an EGG (status: pending).

Incubation. Move eggs into your incubator. You start with 3 SLOTS and can buy up to 8 MAX with Bytes.
Hatching. Catch the same word 3 TIMES while it sits in the incubator and it hatches into a full creature.
Scrapping. Don't want an egg? Scrap it for 10 BYTES.

LEVELS & EVOLUTION

Each catch earns XP for the creature. XP scales logarithmically with session duration — longer sessions yield more XP per catch, with diminishing returns.

Max level: 100. Level thresholds follow a 10 × level^1.5 cumulative XP curve.

Evolution is automatic — when a creature reaches the required level it evolves immediately and gets new artwork.

TEAMS

Up to 6 CREATURES per team, max 3 TEAMS.
Team 1 is your primary team and cannot be deleted.
A creature can only belong to 1 TEAM at a time. Your team is used during duels — matching words earn bonus points.

ENERGY

You have 3 ENERGY points max.
Each duel costs 1 ENERGY.
Energy recharges at 1 / 8 HOURS — plan your duels wisely.

DUELS

Challenge other trainers and compete for Bytes and creature XP. Two modes:

Direct — challenge a specific player.
Open — anyone can join your challenge.

Scoring: catches during the duel window + bonus multiplier when a caught word matches a creature in your team (up to for stage ???).
Rewards: winner gets the prize pool (both entry fees minus 10% TAX) + creature XP. Draws refund each player their full entry fee (no tax).

BYTES & ECONOMY

BYTES (B) are the in-game currency. You start with 150B.

EARNING BYTES

Catches: 2B (<30s session), 3B (30s–5min), 5B (5min+).
Streak bonuses: up to 50B/DAY.
Duels: win the prize pool.
Marketplace: sell eggs and creatures.

SPENDING BYTES

Duel entry fees (2–20B).
Extra incubator slots (200–5000B).
Marketplace purchases.

STREAKS

Catch at least 1 WORD/DAY to maintain your streak. Miss a day and it resets to zero.

RARITY

A creature's rarity depends on how many trainers own that word — fewer owners means rarer.

Rarity is dynamic — as more trainers catch the same word it becomes more common.

MARKETPLACE

Buy and sell eggs or hatched creatures at fixed prices — first buyer gets it.

List anything. Pending eggs and hatched creatures can be listed. Set your price (min 1 BYTE).
Instant buy. No bidding or timers — the first buyer pays and receives the creature immediately.
Transfers. Creatures keep their level, XP, and evolution stage. Cancel anytime if not yet sold.
Tax. The seller pays a 10% TAX on the sale price.
